Overview
Open Mic League respects copyright and expects users to submit only content they have the right to use. If you believe material available through Open Mic League infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice asking that we review and remove the material where appropriate.
What a Takedown Notice Should Include
A copyright complaint should include enough detail for us to identify both the rights claim and the material in question. At a minimum, include:
- your full name and contact information
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
- identification of the material you want removed, including URLs or other location details
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, agent, or law
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where required, that you are authorized to act for the rights holder
- your physical or electronic signature
How to Send a Notice

Counter-Notices
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice generally includes your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement made under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, consent to the applicable legal process where required, and your signature. We may forward a valid counter-notice to the complaining party and restore material where appropriate and permitted by law.
Repeat Infringer and Repeat Abuse Policy
- We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts for repeated or serious infringement.
- We may also act against people who repeatedly submit abusive, bad-faith, or clearly deficient copyright complaints.
- We reserve the right to remove content while we review copyright disputes and related policy issues.
Important Notes
Filing a knowingly false notice or counter-notice can have legal consequences. If you are not sure whether you are the rights holder or whether a use is lawful, it may be wise to speak with counsel before sending a formal copyright claim.
